Hi Folks,

Thanks for making the Kylo Browser - I really liked it as I use it for my PC at home connected with HDTV.
I have found that there is no “sound” configuration under “setting”.
It would be nice if we can select sound output device only for Kylo.
For my case, I use PC speakers by default, but when I run Kylo, I want to use HDMI sound output without changing my Windows default sound setting.
E.g. My media player, GomPlayer has such an option, the sound always goes out to HDMI.

I would appreciate any feedback.

oops - very overdue response…

There won’t be a very good way for Kylo to handle this. The problem is that Kylo isn’t a media player - media is played through various plugins (flash, silverlight, quicktime, etc.). It’s under the plugins’ jurisdiction to determine sound output. Just doing some googling around this topic shows that people are looking for similar functionality within Firefox and not coming up with much. It seems that Adobe has yet to approach setting the audio output device separate from the system default.

If you’re still interested, see if you can find any Firefox add-ons that perform the functionality you want and we can see about using that strategy within Kylo.
