I had to install bookmarks for netflix and cbs news.  I also see Hulu and ESPN3 are gone from the browser buttons.  I can install these in the bookmarks section.  It is just annoying.  LM

Are you outside of the US? The buttons you mention are all still in the database and appear to be working for me. We try to match the set of buttons to what is available in the user’s current location, so I’m wondering if you somehow appear to be outside of the country.

Hmm… assuming that you posted on the forum from the same computer Kylo is installed on, it looks like you’re in DC (judging by the IP linked to this post… which may not be accurate)... is that right? Might you have been connected through a VPN or something?

The browser began to look different late last week.
7 columns instead of 6.  A new category appeared called Original, along with TV, Movies, Sports etc.

So as the main menu buttons disappear I am adding them as bookmarks.  I have Hulu, Netflix, CBS, ESPN3.

Should I remove Kylo and reinstall?

We got rid of the set of ads that ran on the left hand side of the kylo portal. This gave the content area more room, so it expanded the number of columns. At 720 resolution, this translates to 7 columns from 6, while on 1080 screens, you now get 10 across. The site logo buttons are in a flow layout, so they just arrange themselves from left to right and break into a new line as needed. The “Original” category has been there the whole time, but it just fell out of bounds on the smaller resolutions.

All this to say I really think the logos you’re looking for are still there, just in a different spot than you’re used to. For instance, at 7 columns across, ESPN3 should be in the top right. Hulu should be the last item in the third row.

Thank you for the information about the ads.  That explains the seven columns.
I checked the browser.  In addition, I am missing vudu, discovery, pandora.  If keep looking I will probably discover more.
I will just add those to the bookmark section.
I am sure it will get fixed or others may report the same problem.

If you can’t do that easily, can you just list off in order the top row of logos that appear when you hit the “all” button in the top menu of the portal.

I tried to post the screen shot but the file is too big.

So I created a blog and posted all the icons that are on my browser.

Thanks, that was very helpful. It looks like my first assumption was along the right track. Certain providers don’t work outside of the US, so we hide those portal logos for Kylo users in other countries. We identify your country via your IP. I’m not sure what is causing this, but the geolocation service we use can’t find a country for your IP address. I’m guessing your ISP gave you a different IP address recently. It’s still a bug on our part because we weren’t defaulting to US in the case that the IP-to-country logic failed.

I tried to fix the issue, but I won’t know for certain until you load Kylo again. Let me know if all the icons return. Thanks again for going to the trouble of making screen shots. Feel free to take that blog post down. I shouldn’t need it again.

I got home and opened my Kylo browser.
All the missing icons have returned.

I do not know what to do about the IP address.

I am glad to see the problem has gone away.

I will take the blog down after I send this message.

Good news! You don’t have to do anything about your IP. Unless you pay for a static IP, your ISP will probably change it from time to time. It’s not a problem, it just explains why the icons only disappeared on you recently.

This happened to me on Monday, Kylo crashed and then on its return the Netflix link icon on the connect.kylo.tv page has gone.  It has still not come back after many reboots of the PC and restarts of the router.  I am in the UK and I have a Netflix account (as they have launched in the UK now) and have no issues accessing their site with other browsers.  It was a nice, quick and convenient way to launch Netflix.

It’s still not back, why has this Icon gone?  - I have a UK IP (dynamic) address with PlusNet - and another PC that has Kylo has the same issue, but never crashed.

We’ve recently moved servers for the Kylo portal. It looks like the person who handled the migration (me) used a slightly older snapshot of the database, which hadn’t been properly updated by the person who added Netflix to the UK portal (also me). This person has been reprimanded. Netflix is back on the portal, and it has been moved to the top of the list.

off topic, sorry: Is there a post for requests for icons to be added?  As it would be nice to see blinkbox on there, you can get it in the UK maybe in the USA too, not sure on the latter.  It was bought out by Tesco recently.
